Representatives of SEM Alumni Dining and Talking with Members of Advisory Board

On October 24, the 2012 Advisory Board Meeting of School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University was held at the main building of Tsinghua University. At noon, 36 alumni representatives were invited to have lunch with 30 members of the Advisory Board. During the lunch, they freely exchanged their opinions.
CHEN Jining, President of Tsinghua University, delivered a welcome speech. In his speech, CHEN firstly conveyed his gratitude to members of the Advisory Board and alumni for their attention and support to Tsinghua University and SEM and then described achievements in reform of educational projects and innovation in personnel systems. He also expressed that Tsinghua University would afford strong support to integrate SEM and other facilities of the University. He also hoped the Advisory Board and alumni to provide valuable suggestions and contribute resources to Tsinghua University and SEM to build SEM into a world first-class faculty.
At the luncheon
Alumni representatives, with bachelor degree, master degree, PhD, MBA, EMBA and Executive Education, all cherished this opportunity to communicate with the Advisory Board. They voiced their opinions on such subjects as achievements of SEM, forthcoming development, global economic situation and enterprise management. Members from the Advisory Board also asked about development conditions of alumni, to learn about development states, opportunities and threats in different industries under the current economic situation.

In recent years, Tsinghua SEM invited alumni to dine with members of the Advisory Board during the Advisory Board Meeting. The invited showed great support in SEM's initiative to integrate resources and looked forward to taking part in the construction of the faculty and contributing their part to the faculty.
At the luncheon
Before the luncheon, YANG Bin, the Secretary of the Party Committee of SEM, had a conversation with the invited alumni, introduced recent development conditions of SEM, the subject and highlights of this Advisory Board Meeting as well as some information about the Tsinghua Management Global Forum in the day before.
