【简介】沈联涛教授，现任中国银监会首席咨询顾问和国际咨询委员会委员、香港经纶国际经济研究院院长。他同时担任中国投资公司国际咨询委员会成员、上海市推进国际金融中心建设领导小组国际咨询委员会委员、马来西亚总统经济顾问。他在金融行业有着丰富的从业经历：2003年至2005年，担任国际证监会组织技术委员会主席；1998年10月至2005年9月，连续三届担任香港证监会主席；1993年至1998年间担任香港金融管理局副总裁，掌管储备管理部及外事经研部；1989至1993年于世界银行任职，担任金融发展部高级经理；1976至1989年曾担任马来西亚中央银行的不同职务。沈联涛先生同时还是清华大学经济管理学院和马来亚大学兼职教授，曾经撰写有关货币及金融领域的文章及著作，包括最新专著《十年轮回：从亚洲到全球的金融危机》（英文，剑桥大学出版社，2009 年）、《监管：谁来保护我的投资》（中文，江苏文艺出版社，2010年）。

Charles Haswell先生，现任汇丰集团金融政策部总监，曾任汇丰集团监管政策与发展总监、中国事务主席，在2004年加入苏格兰皇家银行集团战略职能，负责协调苏格兰皇家银行与中国银行的合作。在加入金融部门前，他有25年在英国外交部工作的经历。在两年对中国的学习后，他于1982-1986年就职于英国驻北京大使馆商务处；在1998-2000年，他在伦敦国际金融服务机构（IFSL）工作，帮助建立英国金融服务业在全球发展的新战略，并于1998年12月成为机构董事会成员；2000年，他回到北京，担任英国驻华贸易投资参赞，负责驻北京、上海、广州和重庆商务办事处的工作，他在中国的职业生涯跨越了中国从改革开放到加入世界贸易组织并崛起成为全球重要经济力量的历程。

【Background Information】

Andrew Sheng is the Chief Adviser to the China Banking Regulatory Commission, President of the Fung Global Institute. In addition, he serves as a member of the International Advisory Council of the China Investment Corporation, the China Development Bank, the Advisory Council on Shanghai as an International Financial Centre and a Board Member of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Malaysia. He possess abundant occupational experience in financial

industry. From 2003 to 2005, he was Chairman of the Technical Committee of IOSCO, the International Organization of Securities Commissions; Between

October 1998 and September 2005, he was three-term Chairman of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong; From1993 to September

1998, he was the Deputy Chief Executive responsible for the Reserves Management and External Affairs Departments at the Hong Kong Monetary

Authority. Between 1989 and 1993, he was Senior Manager, Financial Sector Development Department at the World Bank. From 1976 to 1989, he held various

positions with Bank Negara Malaysia. He is also an adjunct professor at the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University and the University

of Malaya. He has published widely in monetary and financial issues. His most recent books are From Asian to global financial crisis: an Asian

regulator's view of unfettered finance in the 1990s and 2000s (Cambridge University Press, 2009) and Financial Regulation: Who Protects My Investments (in Chinese, Jiangsu Literature and Art Publishing House, 2010)

Charles Haswell is Group Head of Financial Sector Policy, HSBC Holdings plc. Prior to this position, he was Group Head of Regulatory Policy and

Development and Head of China Affairs at HSBC. In 2004, he joined the Group Strategy function of the RBS, responsible coordinating RBS's partnerships

with the Bank of China. Before joining the financial sector, he spent 25 years as a career diplomat with the British Foreign Office, and studied

Chinese for two years before a first posting to the Commercial Section of the British Embassy in Beijing from 1982-1986. He was seconded to IFSL

(International Financial Services London, formerly known as British Invisibles) from 1998-2000 to help establish a new strategy for the global

promotion of the UK's financial services industry, and joined the organization's Board in December 1998. In 2000 he returned to Beijing as the

British Government's Director of Trade and Investment for China, responsible for the Commercial offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing.

His China career with the Foreign Office spanned the beginning of the "Reform and Opening" policy of Deng Xiaoping, through to China's entry into

the WTO and emergence as a significant global economic power.
